Yes, we survived babysitting the twins! It actually wasn't that bad, if you ignore the first "wake up call" which came around 6am, I think. Stuart got a run in Saturday afternoon, which was a good thing, since the weather tanked again on Sunday. More snow and -30C temperatures - wheee! It's supposed to start easing off tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.
I went for another massage with Crystal yesterday. Since I started doing my "plantar fasciitis" stretches, I've noticed my hips, back and shoulders getting sore; it's hardly surprising that other things are changing and in the long run it's a good thing, but it's weird when driving makes the sides of my hips ache. She agreed that we needed to work on the upper body as well, but half an hour just isn't quite long enough, so up we go to 1 hour sessions. Ouch! Yeah! Ouch! Yeah!
Erin kindly drove me over to the gym after work yesterday, where I virtuously did my workout, even though Stuart was skipping. Yeah me! Then Megan picked me up and we went for dinner at the Keg. This is not normally something we do, but Dad had a GC that Uncle Tim gave him for Christmas that he didn't want, so he gave it to us for a "girl's night out". It was the usual Keg food, so good but basic, but it's always nice to eat something you didn't prepare and have the opportunity to chat.
On the dog front, Stuart got a hold of the the Canadian BRT club president - who lives in Edmonton! - about breeders who wouldn't dock the tail. He got back about 3 paragraphs attempting to justify docking the tails for the look, which I think answers that question. There is a breeder in the States who would leave one tail uncut for us, but they won't have a litter until next year. So far, our best bet seems to be a breeder in Sweden, which would mean the puppy would arrive in mid-May. Strikes me as a cool birthday present! :)
