It's Friday, so who wants to work? In between running around organizing catering and finding lost people, I've been taking another look at our options for Pet Health Insurance. Yep, such a thing exists and in staggering variety, nonetheless.
The problem is that you feel like you have to be omniscient - how do you know, possibly years in advance, what medical issues your pet might have and how much they will cost? Everyone agrees that dental health is just as important for animals, vis a vis heart conditions as well as chewing, so why do so many not cover it? You pay a lower monthly premium if your pet is neutered, but they don't cover the cost of having it done! Is it better to go for a maximum dollar amount that can spent on whatever you want OR a plan that offers a maximum per condition per year for the life of your pet?
And I can't find any reviews of the various plans that aren't sponsored by one of them, so how can you know how well any particular group honors its plans?
Aaaagh! If you have any useful advice to offer, I'm open!
