Here we go with another round of misdating cheques and waiting for replacement credit cards. Why do we celebrate this insanity?
At any rate, we had a pleasant and fairly sedate New Year's Eve, hanging out with Mike and Ang and an assortment of friends and relations. For the first time in my experience, the party petered out before the big countdown, so Stuart and I were back in time to do our first kiss of the year in the new place. Kinda symbolically nice...
We slept in this morning (only a few more of those before we have to go back to work, sigh) and we've been puttering around the house since then. We had bacon and pancakes for breakfast and then Stuart assembled a few more IKEA pieces that I picked up yesterday. We almost have a home for everything now, and we're basically ready for our housewarming party. With luck, that will be happening in a few more weeks. (We even have some of our artwork hung!)
