It's Sunday. Sigh. And that means that tomorrow, Stuart and I have to return to work. Unless, of course, we won the lottery! Hang on a sec... Nope, only 2 numbers on the Super 7. Oh well, I have more tickets.
We've been passing the time since we returned home with a mixture of productiveness and sheer laze. I spent Friday having quality with Ella, to give Megan and Geoff the opportunity to go skiing. They had a good time and Ella and I managed, so that was ok. Stuart spent the day running errands - looking for new running shoes, checking out the military museum, etc. We've also been putting more time into organizing the house - the spare bedroom and the "game" room still need some work, but all the daily living areas are, well, livable. Our biggest challenge right now is finding a solution to the DVD storage issue. We like to have them out and perusable, but standard bookshelves just waste too much space. 90% of commercial stands only hold 100-200 DVDs (who has a collection that small?), and the only larger ones we can find would ship from the States for $300+. It may be back to Stuart's Dad's table saw, when the weather gets reasonable again.
Speaking of movies, yesterday, we finally went to see "The Quantum of Solace" at the theater. A pair of ladies in the washroom afterwards made me laugh by saying, "it was all action with very little plot." It's James Bond, for god's sake, what were you expecting??? All things considered, I enjoyed it, it wasn't quite as riveting as "Casino Royale", but perhaps that was just due to adjusting to the new Bond. I agree with our friend Mike, though - Iron Man was better. (We still haven't seen "The Black Knight" so I can't comment on that one.) We've also been watching a whole lot of MythBusters - I'm not sure why it's so riveting, but it probably has to do with all the guns and explosions - James Bond without the stunt coordinators!
Back to work tomorrow. Bah.

Holy crap, how many DVDs do you people have?
Ummm... including the box sets, something in the neighbourhood of 400+. And growing. Not to mention the 16 bankers boxes of books I have stashed in my parents garage and the room full of boardgames, minis, terrain and stuff to make MORE minis and terrain.
Where IS the line between hobby and obsession? LOL
Kinda explains why we don't bother with a cable tv connection though.
