Time is still flying

I haven't posted since before Christmas and here it is, sneaking up on the end of January!

Nothing earth-shattering has happened in the meantime - no births, deaths, new clothes... which is probably why I haven't been motivated to write.  We've had some nasty cold weather, but had a Chinook fire up a few days ago, so bye-bye snow, at least for now.

Stuart's mom gave me a back-handed insult before Christmas, which has inspired me on the lose some weight crusade again.  Nothing drastic, just paying a bit more attention to what and how much I eat and trying to get just a little more exercise.  So far, I've lost about 3 pounds, which is cool by me.

The new templates at work are actually starting to come together - far from finished, but I've started putting real material into them, to look for tweaks I've missed and nothing is breaking dramatically.  I'm both terrified and horribly proud, since I wasn't entirely sure I could really do it.  It's only about a quarter of the way into the process, but it's a start!

Stay warm, dry and healthy everyone!

Have you gained weight since I met you a year ago? Because I would never have thought you needed to lose any. Hope you reach a point you're happy with!

Haven't gained any no, but I've got that nagging 15lbs that I'd rather not. I lost a bunch of weight in my late 20's and never quite reached the mental goal I set myself. It's as much about toning up as dropping off.

Stuart's Mom called up and said that his sister had lost a bunch of weight, so they had all these pants that didn't fit her anymore - would I like them? She was trying to be helpful and just didn't think about her phrasing, but I have to admit that it was a bit upsetting.
