We got to bring Ursa home last night! Her blood glucose levels stabilized Saturday night. One of her liver enzymes (ATP) was moderately raised on Saturday, but it had started dropping again on Sunday. None of the other enzymes or her blood clotting factor showed any significant changes, so her liver took a knock, but hopefully no huge damage. I'm taking her for a follow-up blood panel tomorrow, so we'll see what it shows.
In the meantime, we stopped at the off leash park on our way home yesterday to run off some of her skeezies. After two days in a little room with no exercise, she was bouncy, bouncy, BOUNCY! Even the weird shaved rings around both front legs and the shaved patches on both back legs didn't faze her. She went bounding about in the snow like the happiest thing ever. It's so funny to watch a 112 lb dog frisk. :)
Since she's been on a IV pump and laxatives all weekend, I'm going to work from home tomorrow. She may need out a little more frequently than usual. And I think Stuart and I will both feel better if someone's around to watch her... just in case!
