For a couple of weeks anyway! Thank goodness, I want to sleep in my bed for more than 5 nights in a row. Is that a bad thing?
This past weekend's trip can be nicely summed up, rather than resorting to a blow by blow description of events. We headed to Medicine Hat and hung out at Stuart's aunt and uncle's house. (The trip was originally scheduled for me to go to Swift Current to do a "test treatment" and join the Saskatchewan Shiatsu Therapists' Association. That fell through at the last minute, which probably falls in the "everything happens for a reason" category, so we had a much less rushed trip than we had originally braced for.) In the end, it turned out that Aunt and Uncle headed to SK as well, to visit Stuart's cousin, who is working there.
So we had their house to ourselves, a couple days of perfectly gorgeous summer-like weather and nothing to do but visit Grandma and Grandpa. We had dinner with them on Saturday and dragged them out into the courtyard on Sunday to visit Ursa and enjoy the sun. In between, we slept a lot, took Ursa for many walks in the coulees (which she loved) and made waffles.
I have decided that we really have to add a waffle iron to the kitchen and that has added weight to Stuart's desire to get a freezer for the basement. We envision monthly waffle producing frenzies, followed by waffle availability at the *ding* of the toaster. Is there such as thing as a light, crispy, multigrain waffle? I won't rest until I find/perfect the recipe! MMmmmmmm.....
