Stuart and I went out Friday night, first to Ric's Grill - which was hugely disappointing. They seem to have forgotten the vinegar in the vinegrette, the onion soup tasted nice but was largely onion free, the salmon in my mixed seafood grill was hugely overcooked and the vanilla in our vanilla creme brulee was missing. Even with the coupon, I felt like we overpaid.
The Danny Michel/Ayla Brook show made up for it though. Too bad it was once again in a bar with not enough seats, bad sight lines and people who wouldn't shut up. Ayla was sporting a new scruffy beard with slicked hair though and told me that he's put together a new band, so I'll have to watch for him.
I spent a large chunk of Saturday hanging out with Megan and the kids, eventually managing to purchase plants and seeds for the garden plot in the backyard. Everything was planted and I also got some weeding done. Stuart finished dismantling the picnic table and sanding it and I got a first coat of paint on the whole thing.
I thought I'd been careful during all this, but apparently not careful enough! I went to roll over in my sleep last night and almost screamed. The muscle in my right shoulder has gone into spasm again. Fortunately, it's lower than before, so there isn't a headache as well, but my range of motion is shot and it hurts like *#%!
