Breaking the habit

Well, I've been going to the gym mostly regularly now for a while. Amazingly, there are hints of muscle development peaking out here and there, but I am still padded enough to hide most of it. So, for the sake of my pride, my health and reducing the weight that I have to drag up mountains, it's time for another change.

It's time for Coca-cola to disappear from my diet.

There's no doubt that I eat my share of carbs (baked goods, ice cream, etc.) but pop is definitely the worst offender for empty calories in my current diet. I really don't drink any of it now except for my ongoing addiction to Coke. I need to stop drinking it long enough to readjust my spleen cravings and my taste buds, so that when I fall off the cart (which will happen), it won't taste so darn yummy.

For the time being, I will accept any substitute: juice, water, tea, carbonated water and Ribena - just no pop!

Wish me luck....
