Why can't weekends be 3 days long... or 4... or a month?
Why do I have to work again?
It's not that bad, really, just a busy day leading into a busy weekend. I seem to have some kind of eye infection starting up, which is just weird and which I could really do without. On the other hand, maybe it's pink-eye and I can infect everyone at the housewarming party tomorrow!
We got our supply list for the Colour Theory course today and it is pretty extensive. Fortunately, Stuart and I should be able to share some of the stuff, which should cut down on both expenses and what we have to lug back and forth.
Meg and I had lunch the other day and she mentioned that she'd seen Kaylene in the stairwell at the Foothills, but hadn't put it all together in time to say anything. That got her off on anaesthesiologists in general. According to Megan, they are the bikers of the hospital world: all ego and a total lack of concern for other people's feelings or opinions. I wouldn't say that's a totally accurate description of Kay, but with the addition of testosterone and some adjustments to her upbringing, I can't say it's unimaginable either. It doesn't bother me, because A) I don't have to work with her and B) I find her slavish devotion to Western medicine about as amusing as she finds my acceptance/promotion of alternative methods.
Plus anyone who agrees to work hours that leaves them unable to spell or properly use grammar, but thinks that they are still ok for putting tubes down people's throats and injecting them with potentially lethal drugs, is just silly.
