Bloody nose and Euclidean geometry

I think this Colour Theory class is going to turn out to be kinda fun, actually. By the end, we will have assembled our own, reasonably comprehensive color reference book and have learned how to mix paint (at least acrylics) along the way. The teacher obviously knows what she's talking about, although she's pretty scattered - we'll see if that ends up being more endearing or frustrating. It was definitely a steep curve in terms of what equipment we'd prefer, working with the paper, etc. and we ended up with a list of additional supplies to get, but I'd kind of expected that.

The weirdest thing was that I spent a large portion of the night unable to stop thinking about primary colors and interesting ways to fit together circles, squares, triangles, etc. It was like being back in Kindergarten (or at least how I imagine Kindergarten, since I never actually went!)

The other portion of the night was spent trying to quell a persistant nose bleed. The Chinook had melted enough snow to expose grass along edges and hilltops, so I've been sneezing more over the last couple of days (snow mold, you know.) Then the temperature plummeted and sucked what little moisture there was out of the air. Bingo! Bloody nose. All in all, I didn't get much sleep last night and I'm feeling more than a bit muzzy with a potential headache lurking behind my eyes.

Hence, I am typing this at home. I can never sleep through Stuart getting ready for work (not that he makes a lot of noise or anything, I just can't ignore the activity.) So I'm having a snack and typing this; hopefully, that will get enough of this craziness out of my head for me to get back to sleep for a bit. Not for long, I don't want to mess up my sleep patterns, but if I don't get some rest, I'm going to be a cranky, cranky girl.
