I'm bAAaaack

Stuart was giving me a hard time for not having posted yet, but geez, can't some allowances be made for jet-lag and sleep deprivation? At any rate, yes, we made it home safely and without any major airline re-arrangements. The biggest excitement was that our flight got into Vancouver late, so that by the time we got through Customs and got our luggage, we just made boarding for the flight to Edmonton, but we did make it - so great. I basically didn't sleep all the way home, so by the time we had dinner and visited with the family, I'd was on to a 26 hour day. Stuart put me to bed and I slept about 14 hours. I made it through Monday and only napped on the drive home and slept all Monday night, but I still only lasted until lunch at work on Tuesday. I headed home, but couldn't sleep when I tried to nap. Then Tuesday night, I only managed to sleep for about 2 hours. I said, screw it and stayed home yesterday, watching movies and packing. I managed to sleep last night and I'm tired today, but finally feeling like I might be back on track.

And yes, I was packing. You may not remember, but Stuart and I move to our new apartment next Saturday. Stuart did some packing while I was gone (god bless him), but there's still a lot to do. Also, we haven't sorted stuff out yet with the old building - apparently the lease says we have to be out by noon on the 31st and that's sure not going to happen. I've never lived any place that actually enforced that - if they have a "1st of the month" move in date, why shouldn't everyone else? They haven't rented the place yet (along with several other units!) so I don't think it'll be a problem, but it's just one more thing making life interesting.
