Checking in

Does one ever really recover from jet lag? At the moment, I'd have to run with no. I mean, I'm sleeping and all, but life just has this strange surreal feeling lately... Or maybe it always felt that way and I'm just noticing it now? Hmmm....

At any rate, Stuart and I have been packing and trying to plan for a multitude of possible futures. For one thing, the apartment rental people are being dorks about our move out date. They keep quoting the Landlord & Tenant act, so I finally went and read the damn thing - and of course, it absolutely does not say what they want us to believe it does. As far as I'm concerned, we'll move out when we told them with full notice that we would and they can go blow. Or, at least, I'm hoping we can. The other potential wrinkle is that our new landlords have had to push back their move date, due to the fact that the contractors building their new house apparently suck. Everyone please cross your fingers that they get to move, because I really, really, REALLY don't want to have to go to Boardwalk and try to negotiate another week or two of residency. *shudder*

In the astonishing news pile, I had an email from my friend Karen, to say that she's pregnant. Since I was out of the race for kids, it was a 50/50 between her and Kim, but I was honestly starting to think we were going for 0 kids total. It wasn't a long email, but given the tone, I don't think she's quite adapted to the idea yet. LOL

Yesterday I had another migraine. It wasn't the worst I've ever had, but it still sucked big time. I was planning to go to the gym tonight, but even climbing the stairs makes the blood pound through the site in my head, so I'm sorry but no way. I went to the free "health assessment" offered by the University today and according to them, I'm healthy and doing most stuff right. Just shows how lame western medicine is!
