Yup, only 3 nights to go and I'm starting to get "travel brain" to match Stuart's "run brain". I can't concentrate at work, keep making silly mistakes and have to go back and fix them - it's ridiculous. It doesn't help that my neck is acting up again and making my head ache. Apparently there's a spa in the Vancouver airport - here's hoping it's someplace inside security!
In other news, I downloaded some games for the iTouch (Hangman, Bubbles and Aurora Feint) and I may get one more. TapTapRevenge is supposed to be like Rock Band but with the added joy of the accelerometer, so part of the game play is tilting the machine around in response to arrows. The reviews are uniformly outstanding and it's free. Plus, I figure I'll be entertaining the other passengers, with my headphones in, tapping the screen like mad and zooming my hand around. Fun for everyone!
The Chinese Yuan continues to dip compared to the Canadian dollar, so here's hoping for good shopping. I have a list in the new toy of requests from people for goodies, ranging from a thimble to knock off purses to silk. If I remember correctly, we have a day of shopping in both Shanghai and Beijing - if it's anything like Hawaii and Singapore were, finding gifts shouldn't be a problem!
Bah. I know there was other stuff I meant to post about, but travel brain has its grip on me. More later if I have a brainwave!
