Many, many moons ago, I had this idea. I wanted to get my ear pierced in multiple places and have one earring that would thread through them all. At the time, piercing was still mostly something you got done at the jewellery store with a gun, so I'd have to go to a scary Hell's Angels tattoo place and pay for a custom piece of jewellery to be made.
In the grand scheme of things, it wasn't that high a priority and it kinda slid to the way side.
The piece I had in mind was something soft enough to bend with some effort, but stiff enough to not get squashed when I laid on it. Today, following a link from something else, I discovered spiral barbells. So, the questions are: is this close enough to what I wanted to go ahead and do it? Do I still want one? Will I still think it's cool when it's obviously not even close to unique any more?
Is the fact that the Consort's family will be completely appalled not a good enough reason to do it? LOL
In other news, I will be spending my weekend at the Calgary Comic Expo, mostly selling onigiri, but hopefully I can sneak away on Sunday for Wil Wheaton's solo presentation. (I dropped a note on his blog, maybe he'll come by and hopefully I won't dissolve into a gibbering idiot.) There's obviously a ton of cool stuff happening, but that's the only thing that I really feel like I will regret if I don't see it. I expect I'll get some free time to wander the vendors and stuff too... maybe I should leave the credit cards at home?
