Finger update

So, I said I'd post some pictures of my finger slice and dice if it turned out to be gross.  It's not that bad really, unless of course it's your finger.  :)  Seriously, the wound is hardly life ending, but there's a sense of violation that comes with being cut like this.  It's not right to have part of your body invaded like that.  It's bad enough when it's by choice (i.e. surgery) but when it's by accident and you do it yourself...  well, among other things, it's a constant reminder of your own screw up.

Sigh.

It's looking okay though.  No sign of infection or anything.  The flesh at the top around the cut has turned white and will definitely get sloughed off, but I basically expected that.  The ends seem to have closed and that should start to work it's way into the center.  The bandage was fine, but I pulled everything off to have a visual inspection, especially after I banged it on the way home and made it hurt lots.  I wanted to make sure I wasn't bleeding more.  Urk.

This is a bit blurry, but the cut goes across the nail, to just closer to center than the little blood bruise you can see.

Ignore the wrinkle from the stuff under the bandage, you can follow the cut down about 1/3 of my finger.
