HALLOWE'EN

Ok, anyone even remotely familiar with me will likely be aware that Hallowe'en is my favorite holiday by far. Getting presents is all well and good, don't get me wrong, but coming up with a cool costume, carving the jack o'lantern, trick or treating, candy... what could be better???

Today, I dressed up for work in a pretty "easy" costume: threw on some respectable jammies, put my hair in pigtails and took my stuffed lion cub with me. I've gotten lots of comments too, mostly along the lines of "That looks so comfortable, why didn't I wear MY jammies to work?" I can't help but think, "Because you aren't as smart as I am?" LOL We did a potluck for lunch at work and it turned out quit well, a good mix of food and all of it yummy. Carmen also brought a bag of Hallowe'en chocolate, but so far I've only had one. Getting older sucks!

And of course, all the radio stations are playing the usual spooky songs. So far on CKUA, I've heard Monster Mash, Spooky Woman and currently the classic Thriller, by Michael Jackson.

Tonight we're off to Mike and Angie's for the Rock Band party. The idea is to dress up as your Rock Band icon, and we'll have two full X-box set ups to have an all-night rock-off. At this point, I can't afford what my icon is wearing, so Stuart and I just have sort of generic rock outfits. I always wanted an excuse to buy one of those pink wigs and we got Stuart an afro. I told him he should have just stopped cutting his hair a couple of months ago, but that didn't go over so well. At any rate, it should be grand fun, if I can just manage to stay awake!
