Isn't it funny, how one minute everything can be chugging along as usual, and the next you have no idea what's happening? Earlier in the summer, we got the expected notification that our rent would be going up this month. It's also the end of our 1 year lease (and where did that time go?)
So Stuart and I are faced with a lot of questions to answer and decisions to make. Do we want to stay where we are or move? We like our current apartment, with the exception of the fact that it is one bedroom and we have enough stuff for a house. Is it worth the work of apartment hunting and moving to get more space and maybe a slightly cheaper rent? And most places are looking for a one year lease - if Stuart applies and is accepted to school in Edmonton for next September, do we want to pay for the lease break?
Stuart is apparently undecided about going back to school, now that he has a job he doesn't despise. However, staying at that job means staying in Calgary, which I'm not too keen on. Another year or two might be ok, but once Meg and family are gone, there won't be enough to make me want to stay.
Aaaaargh - I hate being a grown-up!
